This past weekend from May 29th to the 31st, SHAPE Skate Foundation was present as a vendor booth at Jackalope Festival, an extreme sports event held in Virginia Beach where SHAPE founder and president Imoh Ekasi-Otu competed as well.

We are incredibly proud to debut our brand-new, premium SHAPE fingerboards at the Jackalope festival in VA Beach May 29-31. This isn’t your average plastic toy board; they’re engineered to feel and perform exactly like a scaled-down, professional setup.

On Saturday, May 2nd, SHAPE Skate Foundation attended the Link Wray Day event at Mount Rainier Skatepark in Prince George’s County, Maryland, which was held to commemorate the new mural of the late rock and roll legend Link Wray painted by Jay Coleman.

On Saturday, April 18th, SHAPE Skate Foundation was invited by the Fairfax County Park Authority to attend the grand opening of the newly renovated Mount Vernon Woods Park.

On Saturday, April 4th, SHAPE Skate Foundation teamed up with Fairfax Surf Shop to host a joint video premiere for the closing celebration of the elusive warehouse DIY skatepark that temporarily operated in Alexandria, Virginia.

In celebration of Black History Month, SHAPE worked with the visual and performing artist Brianna Pippens to create three beautifully distinct pieces.

Thanks to your generosity our December Skate Drive raised over $5,000 in new and used equipment!

This massive haul is currently en route to the kids at Shangilia Kenya and our friends at She Skates Kenya and Sateboarding Society Of Kenya.

For the first leg of SHAPE's first DC to Naija Tour, the team visited Abuja to connect with the local skate community.

SHAPE Skate Foundation has partnered with the Roller Skating Federation of Nigeria on a mission to develop Nigeria’s official Olympic skateboarding program and provide our athletes with the resources needed to reach the world stage.

One of SHAPE’s sponsored junior athletes, Joseph Skywalker, won the first place medal at the International Francophone Skate Youth Championship in Benin this January.

SHAPE Skate Foundation in collaboration with Skating is Risky and New Balance Numeric, proudly present the first ever multi-state Nigeria Skateboarding Tour!

Our Annual December Skate Drive is back! This year we will be collecting fairly used and new skate equipment throughout the month of December to send to Tum Shangilieni Mtoto, a school and orphanage in Kenya which also has it’s own skatepark!

We recently teamed up with HU Skate Club to create inspiring artwork for children at the Tumshangilieni Mtoto orphanage in Kenya as part of our annual skate supply drive.

We collaborated with Nomad Strategies, The DC Wheels, and a few other local organizations by hosting a patch-up party and skate jam to help resurrect the skate scene at our iconic Maloof Skatepark in NE Washington D.C.

We were proud to support the Waf. July Skate Jam at their new skatepark in Lagos, Nigeria.
