SHAPE Skate Foundation has partnered with the Roller Skating Federation of Nigeria on a mission to develop Nigeria’s official Olympic skateboarding program and provide our athletes with the resources needed to reach the world stage.
We are proud to announce that we have partnered with the Roller Skating Federation of Nigeria (RSFN). Together, we are launching a mission to develop the official RSFN skateboarding program and provide the resources necessary for our athletes to reach the world stage.
SHAPE Skate Foundation will play an instrumental role in sponsoring the team, by covering annual fees, registration and transportation costs for selected sponsored athletes so that they are able to compete in Olympic qualifier events and represent Nigerian skateboarding globally. These sponsorships will be organized through yearly signed agreements between the athlete, SHAPE and RSFN.
This year, we have hit the ground running and achieved our first collaborative success. On January 9, we sponsored two of our top junior skaters, Joseph Skywalker and Aderibigbe Ayo to compete at the Francophone Youth Skateboard Championship, where Joseph took home the gold medal for Nigeria. This victory is more than a trophy; it officially puts Joseph in the running to represent Nigeria at the Dadar 2026 Youth Olympic Games in Senegal.
We are excited for this partnership to bring forth many more victories between the two organizations and to help put Nigerian skateboarders on the map!
